The new remix Neti Neti is a pastiche of musical styles spanning the landscapes of electro hip-hop, world beat, experimental jazz, and psychedelia. The seven remixed pieces are a collaborative effort where the original members of the band Group Audio Letter (Sharon Gannon, Sue Ann Harkey, David Life, Denis Charles and Don Cherry) are joined by Beastie Boy Mike D, animal rights activist John Robbins with a pro vegetarian message, DJs Sean Dinsmore and Cheb i Sabbah, Sky Cries Mary's Roderick Romero, Bill Laswell, Russell Simmons and Rev Run (Run DMC) to create a musical journey which postulates that great music doesn't have to be forced to fit into one limited category. Produced by Sharon Gannon of Jivamukti Yoga Center in Manhattan.
Due to the eclectic nature of the music on this cd, we have found it most suited to general listening - (we found it isn't particularly suited for asana practice if played straight through.)
