Our Foundation Here At Yoga Vermont — We love the philosophy. We love the history. We love the practice. We love the love.
A workshop style practice — Become comfortable with the choreography of movement & stillness on breath. Questions will be answered as they arise.
Develop the discipline of self practice — Students arrive any time between 6:00 & 7:00 am to close out by 8:00 am. This is an excellent method for committing Ashtanga Series to memory. Learn Ashtange Yoga one piece of information at a time.
A vigorous discipline — Classes are led to the extent that is appropriate. If beginners are present there will be more instruction. Seasoned practitioners can expect less. Led classes provide a beautiful structure that enhances breath & keeps the pace of practice even.
A vigorous discipline — The same rhythm as other First Series with more back bending & strength building.
Breath-synchronized movement, just like Ashtanga — Instructors combine creative sequencing, ujjayi & isometrics. These classes are led by demonstration with light hearted attempts at things beyond our reach.
Peace, Love, Freedom, Hemp. — Strong Vinyasa class with a different live show set list each week.
Sometimes called Lazy Man's Yoga. — Bring a friend or attend solo. This class is for the home practitioner who wants to learn a dynamic form of massage for friends and family. Thai Yoga Massage, is a lovely give and receive practice of moving energy through specific channels by stretching and working the body. This class is set up with small pieces of information that can be added together over time. Each class stands individually. Everyone is welcome. Scott York leads.
