Ashtanga Yoga is a challenging and flowing form of Hatha Yoga, which brings the body, mind and spirit into perfect alignment and function. The Ashtanga practice combines breath control, isometrics, focused gazing, and an uninterrupted sequence of postures into a moving meditation, enhancing self awareness and concentration. All classes are ongoing and open to all students.
Ashtanga Primary Series
Called Yoga Chikitsa, or "yoga therapy" in Sanskrit, the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga is a specific sequence of postures designed to align the body and help protect and rehabilitate it from injury, while freeing the senses. The series, when committed to memory becomes a meditation in motion. By coordinating every movement with the breath, this series serves to unwind the back body from the base of the toes up to the top of the skull. Students range from beginners to advanced - as the Primary Series is a practice for a lifetime. This is a one and a half hour class. (Please note, at the Instructor's discretion, advanced students may be permitted to practice Second Series.) Read more about our Ashtanga Instructors.
Ashtanga Beginner
This class is a one-hour introduction to the sequence of postures that make up the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga and a great place to start your practice. Students learn the fundamentals of moving with the breath and maintaining concentration. Instructed by Scott York.
Vinyasa Classes

Classes explore different aspects of asana practice through dynamic sequences of postures and the linking of breath to movement. Music may be used to enhance the flow of the class. Kripalu
Kripalu Yoga combines postures, breath work, inner focus and personal awareness. Classes explore the release of blocked energy and the integration of emotion. The Kripalu experience is centered upon knowing the body while achieving balance of mind. Read more about Kripalu Instructors, Emily, Annette, Katie and Jane.
Integral Yoga
Integral Yoga integrates all aspects of life and maintains our natural condition of an easeful body, a peaceful mind, and a useful life. The very term ‘integral’ reminds us of integrity and, also, that there is a neutral, tranquil force, which has many faces and is all embracing. The class is a flow of chanting, breathing, warm-ups and yoga postures, leading into deep relaxation and a short meditation. It is designed to help students of all levels cultivate their own personal practice, keeping the unique needs of each day in mind. The practices and principles of Integral Yoga are the foundation of Dr. Dean Ornish's landmark work in reversing heart disease and Dr. Michael Lerner's noted Commonweal Cancer Help program. Integral Yoga is accessible to beginners, as well as yogis of all styles as an option to slow down, tune in, and enjoy union with the present moment. Tiffany Pfeiffer instructs the Integral Yoga Classes.

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a soft, slow style of yoga. In Yin practice, poses are held in a relaxed way for 3 to 5 minutes. The combination of longer holds and relaxed positions accesses the connective tissue in the joints. This helps to rehabilitate joints and creates a greater sense of ease and lightness in the body. Yin practice helps your body and mind release tension and cultivates deep relaxation. It is excellent preparation for meditation and provides a much needed complement to more vigorous forms of exercise. Emily Garrett leads the Yin/Meditation Classes.
