Kripalu Yoga is a very gentle hatha yoga practice which puts great emphasis onproper breath, alignment, coordinating breath and movement, and "honoring the wisdom of the body" -- you work according to the limits of your individual flexibility and strength. Alignment follows awareness. Students learn to focus on the physical and psychological reactions caused by various postures to develop their awareness of mind, body, emotion and spirit.
New in DVD - Kripalu Yoga Gentle includes warm-ups, a variety of floor postures, basic standing postures, a meditation-in-motion posture flow, and relaxation. A well- rounded experience--great for increasing flexibility, releasing tension, opening the spine, back care, and gentle strengthening.
Appropriate for all levels. There's no need to be especially strong or flexible to receive the full benefits of Kripalu Yoga.
