Pranayama is the means of controlling life force through controlling breath.
Yogic breath manipulation can be done by anyone, of any physical or mental
ability. During this four week program we will practice eight different breathing exercises, with five being basic to each session. Please come prepared to lie down
and sit up. Chairs will be provided for sitting if needed.
Pranayama is a basic practice of Yoga that you will be able to learn for yourself, take with you,
and practice anywhere regardless of injury or situation. It is great for stress control, bio feedback, and readying oneself for meditation.
To preserve continuity of this class, we request students sign up for the entire session.
Taught by Studio Director Kathy McNames.
