Class Descriptions

Ashtanga yoga - beginner class

A workshop style practice  — Become comfortable with the choreography of movement & stillness that is choreographed on breath.   Questions will be answered as they arise.

Ashtanga yoga - primary / first series

A vigorous discipline — Classes are  led to the extent that is appropriate.  If  beginners are present there will be more instruction.  Seasoned practitioners can expect less.  Led classes provide a beautiful structure that enhances breath & keeps the pace of practice even.  

Ashtanga yoga - Intermediate / second series

A vigorous discipline — The same rhythm as Primary Series with more back bending & strength building.   

Ashtanga Yoga - Mysore Style

A personalized practice — Ashtanga Yoga your way. This class is an excellent opportunity to memorize your practice and work individually with the instructor to create equanimity in each pose, each breath. Come in any moment between noon and 1:30 to begin.

Pranayama

A breathing sequence we learned from David Williams — Thursday’s we practice a 20 minute breathing pattern, beginning around 6:30 pm. Interest is the only prerequisite. See you there.

 

vinyasa yoga

Breath-synchronized movement, just like Ashtanga —  Instructors combine creative sequencing, ujjayi & isometrics.  These classes are led by demonstration with light hearted attempts at things beyond our reach.    

Grateful dead hour

Peace, Love, Freedom, Hemp. —  Strong Vinyasa class with a different live show set list each week.
